Reading skills are further developed, and students begin to comprehend longer texts, infer meaning, and read for information.

Writing skills progress to include paragraph writing, basic grammar rules, and creative writing exercises.

In mathematics, students learn multiplication, division, place value, money, time, and basic fractions.

Science lessons expand to cover topics such as the human body, ecosystems, matter, and forces.

Social studies lessons delve deeper into local and global communities, history, geography, and cultural diversity. Physical education, art, music, and other subjects continue to be part of the curriculum to promote physical fitness, creativity, and self-expression.
