Middle G8
Grade 8 Curriculum Overview
Grade 8 serves as an important transition year, preparing students for the next stage of their educational journey while strengthening leadership, independence, and readiness for future academic pathways.
At this level, students are encouraged to apply their knowledge, think critically, and approach learning with greater maturity and responsibility.
Students follow a comprehensive academic program consisting of English 3, Math 3, Science 3, and Social Studies 3, together with two elective subjects. These courses prepare students for advanced academic work by emphasizing higher-order thinking, communication, research, and analytical skills.
Science learning focuses on investigation, innovation, and real-world application. Students engage in experiments, projects, and problem-solving activities that strengthen scientific understanding and independent thinking.
The Robotics program continues to expand students’ knowledge of technology, engineering, coding, and design thinking. Students apply STEM principles to collaborative projects that encourage innovation, leadership, and practical problem-solving.
Grade 8 students are expected to model leadership and responsibility by:
-
Demonstrating independence and accountability
-
Managing academic responsibilities effectively
-
Meeting deadlines and maintaining high standards
-
Taking initiative in learning and collaboration
-
Reflecting on personal growth and academic progress
Our Grade 8 curriculum prepares students to transition confidently into the next phase of their education as capable, independent, and future-ready learners.
In addition to the core curriculum, students are provided with the opportunity to select from the electives offered by the school.
