Middle G7
Grade 7 Curriculum Overview
Grade 7 represents a period of growth, exploration, and increasing academic responsibility. At this stage, students continue developing independence while strengthening their ability to think critically, collaborate effectively, and manage their learning.
The Grade 7 curriculum encourages students to become active learners who take ownership of their educational journey while preparing for more advanced studies.
Students participate in a full academic program consisting of English 2, Math 2, Science 2, and Social Studies 2, together with two elective subjects. These courses deepen students’ understanding while strengthening communication, analytical thinking, research, and problem-solving skills.
Science instruction emphasizes inquiry, experimentation, and real-world application. Students investigate scientific concepts through projects and hands-on activities that promote curiosity and innovation.
Robotics continues to play an important role within the curriculum as students expand their engineering, coding, and design skills. Students are challenged to work collaboratively on projects that require creativity, strategic thinking, and practical application of STEM concepts.
In Grade 7, students are expected to demonstrate increasing independence by:
-
Taking ownership of academic responsibilities
-
Managing assignments and deadlines effectively
-
Developing organization and study habits
-
Demonstrating initiative and accountability
-
Reflecting on their learning and progress
Our Grade 7 curriculum supports students in becoming independent thinkers, collaborative learners, and responsible individuals prepared for higher academic expectations.
In addition to the core curriculum, students are provided with the opportunity to select from the electives offered by the school.
