Language Arts
1st and 2nd graders continue to build upon foundational skills acquired in kindergarten. They further develop their reading, writing, listening, and speaking abilities to enhance their communication skills.

Science
In science, students participate in hands-on activities and observations to explore the wonders of the natural world. They learn about various topics such as plants, animals, weather, and basic scientific principles through interactive experiences. 

Mathematics
Students explore numbers, shapes, patterns, and basic operations to strengthen their understanding and lay the groundwork for more advanced mathematical concepts in the future.

Art 
Students explore their creativity through art . They engage in activities that allow them to express themselves creatively, develop fine motor skills, and explore various forms of artistic expression. 

Physical Education & Health
In 1st grade students engage in physical education and health activities aimed at promoting active lifestyles and well-being. They participate in active play, learn fundamental movements and coordination skills, and acquire knowledge about healthy habits and personal wellness.

Social Studies
Students embark on a journey to understand themselves and others better. They explore topics such as communities, diversity, maps, and basic concepts of citizenship, laying the foundation for their understanding of society. 

Elementary G1 

Grade1 is an exciting year where students transition from kindergarten to a more structured learning environment. In Grade 1, students continue to develop their foundational skills in reading, writing, and math. They learn to read simple texts, recognize basic sight words, and develop phonics skills.
Students begin to write sentences, express their ideas through written words, and practice proper letter formation and punctuation. In mathematics, they learn about numbers, addition, subtraction, shapes, and measurement using hands-on activities and visual aids. Science lessons may focus on topics such as plants, animals, weather, and basic scientific concepts. Social studies lessons introduce students to their community, families, and basic concepts of citizenship and cooperation. Physical education, art, music, and other subjects are also part of the curriculum to promote creativity, physical development, and well-rounded education. Grade 1 teachers often emphasize social and emotional development, teaching students how to work in groups, follow rules, and develop positive relationships with peers and adults.
